Hi! I'm Alice Dommert.

As a parent of two now adult, neurodivergent children, I know the mix of love, worry, and resilience the path requires.

There were seasons when I poured every bit of energy into helping my kids thrive, only to realize I had few tools to support myself.

And I felt alone and exhausted, often navigating uncertainty around what might be best for each child's unique needs.

That realization pushed me to learn, test, and experiment with many new skills. These skills rippled beyond being a parent. They helped me become a steadier, more patient human being, better able to meet all the uncertainties.

Along the way, I found other parents who understood.

They became confidants, resources, friends, and, most importantly, the critical and supportive community I rely on today as our family's journey continues.

The combination of building skills and having a supportive community is what inspired the Wholebeing LAB: The Parent Practice.

If you’re tired, unsure of what you need, or simply ready to exhale, know this: you don’t have to figure it out alone. You’ll find space here to learn, to rest, and to renew.

Be well...it's a state of mind.

About the Workshop

Wholebeing LAB: The Parent Practice is a three-hour, hands-on workshop designed for parents and caregivers supporting neurodivergent children. It’s part science, part practice, and entirely about helping you rediscover steadiness in the middle of real life.

This isn’t a class about managing your child—it’s about strengthening you.

Through simple, science-backed tools drawn from breathwork, movement, and positive psychology, you’ll learn how to steady your own nervous system so you can respond, not react, to life’s challenges.

More than anything, this is a space to learn, breathe, and reconnect with your own calm, your inner capacity, and others who truly understand.

You’ll leave with practical skills that make daily life feel a little lighter and a lot more possible.

What You'll Experience

This three-hour experience is both practical and restorative. You’ll be guided through a series of evidence-based exercises that help you reconnect to your own calm, clarity, and strengths with skills that begin with you and ripple outward to your family.

During the session, you will:

  • Pause and arrive. Ground yourself through movement and breath to find relief from daily stress and fatigue.

  • Learn the science. Understand how stress and sensory overload affect your nervous system, and how to reset and build resilience.

  • Practice the tools. Experience breathwork, movement, and sensory tools to explore what works for YOU.

  • Reflect and connect. Identify your strengths, explore new perspectives, and share insights with others who understand the journey.

What You'll Learn

By the end of the session, you will:

  • Understand how stress and sensory overload affect your nervous system—and how to bring it back into balance.

  • Learn practical, science-based tools for self-regulation using breathwork, movement, and sensory awareness.

  • Recognize your unique stress response patterns and build new strategies to shift from reaction to response.

  • Explore your personal strengths and how to apply them when navigating challenges at home and in daily life.
